Delete your account and data

You do not need to sign up for an AI News account to read news, or to buy or restore a plan on iOS. You can still delete your guest ID and the related data on the server.

Delete guest user data

Go to Settings → Delete guest user data → Delete guest data. This deletes the Firebase ID and that ID's transaction data and revokes its sessions on the server. When it connects again, the app may create a new guest ID. The sources you follow, read markers, saved articles and notification settings on the device are kept. Turn notifications off in the app to cancel the current notification token; uninstall the app to delete local data.

Email account linked in an earlier version

If you use a linked account, go to Settings → Account → Delete account, then confirm your password. This deletes the Firebase account and that ID's transaction data on the server and revokes its sessions. Time-limited hashed replay-protection markers may be kept for up to 30 days before background cleanup removes them.

By email

Send your request to thedat08101999@gmail.com with the subject “AI News — Delete data”. If the request concerns an old email account, send it from the registered email. We may ask you to verify ownership through a secure channel. Do not send passwords, verification codes, receipts with private information or secret keys by email unless we ask you to.

Deleting data in AI News does not delete the purchase history kept by the store and does not cancel a subscription in the app store. Cancel renewal in the store if you do not want to keep paying. On iOS you can restore an active plan with the same App Store account; restoring recreates the data needed to verify your entitlement.
